Inspiration for our music video
Recently Grace and I have watched numerous music videos, all with aspects we would love to encourperate
Countdown
We really liked Beyonce's music video, 'Countdown', not only because dancing which I would like to use, but also the effective editing techniques. At points the screen was split into multiple sections, each of which have different colours and actions. We would really like to incorporate these elements into our music video.
Thats what I like
We began looking through current popular songs and Bruno Mars 'Thats what I like' was included in this. Initially looking at it we didn't find it very interesting, however we really liked the animations in it and would therefore like to try and recreate something similar.
Four, Five seconds
Unlike some of the other music videos I looked at, this one was a lot more simple. However we would really like to use the close up shots and black and white colour grading used in the video. We also really liked how the music video began with a black silhouette of Rihanna singing, which we would like to try and recreate.
What now
Both Grace and I really liked this song so we would therefore like to use some of the editing effects used in it. For example the layering of the images which looked really visually effective and we would therefore like to create something similar in our music video.
